My Coaching Style: Where Depth Meets Delight
I have been in the somatic field since 1986 when I started teaching fitness classes. Since then I became a yoga teacher, a ecstatic/exotic dance teacher, a biodynamic craniosacral therapist, and now a certified (sex, love and relationship) somatic coach.
I guide from a deeply lived experience. My practice is a tapestry of modern neuroscience, trauma healing, recovery, and the sacred arts of yoga, dance, tantra, taoism, and embodiment. I’ve done the work, walked the path, and I remain a lifelong student of the body and soul.
I believe transformation shouldn’t be a "painful slog"—it should be a celebration. By uniting grounded wisdom with the electric power of pleasure, I help you navigate growth through:

What is Somatic Coaching?
The Somatic Shift: Moving Beyond the Narrative
Modern life often demands that we live entirely in our heads. We analyze and rationalize, yet our bodies remain the true keepers of our history. Research in neuroscience has confirmed what somatic practitioners have long understood: true, sustainable change requires more than just "talking it out." It requires an inward attunement.
Somatic Coaching serves as the vital link between your conscious goals and your physical experience. While conventional methods focus on the story, we look at the felt sense—locating where thoughts and patterns reside in the tissues. By engaging the body directly, we move past the limitations of the mind to unlock a more integrated and vibrant way of being.
The Core Principles
In our modern world, we spend a lot of time "in our heads" (analyzing, scrolling, planning). This is the opposite of embodiment.
First-Person Experience: It’s not about how you look to others, but how you feel to yourself. A somatic practitioner asks, "What is happening in your nervous system right now?"
The Mind-Body Connection: Somatics operates on the belief that the mind and body are a single unit. Emotional stress, trauma, and habits are "stored" in the tissues and nervous system, not just the brain.
Embodied Awareness: By slowing down and paying attention to subtle sensations (like breath, tension, or temperature), you can "re-wire" the way your brain communicates with your muscles and nervous system.
Embodiment is the state of being fully present and "at home" in your physical self. To be "embodied" means your internal sensations, your external actions, and your mental state are all synchronized.
Why We Use It
Somatic practices—like the VITA method, Craniosacral therapy, or Somatic Experiencing—are commonly used to:
Release Chronic Tension: Unlearning "sensory-motor amnesia" where muscles stay tight without us realizing it.
Regulate the Nervous System: Moving out of a "fight or flight" state and into a state of "rest and digest." Then into thriving.
Process Trauma: Helping the body finish its natural stress response cycles that may have been frozen by past events.
Improve Intimacy: Especially in VITA coaching, somatics helps individuals become more present and "in their skin" during moments of connection. It helps cultivate self love, acceptance, and awareness. Experience inner states of balance and bliss.
The Big Idea: If talk therapy is "top-down" (changing the mind to help the body), somatics is "bottom-up" (changing the body’s state to help the mind).
